Cannibals in Northern Idaho

David Russell, 39, SANDPOINT, Idaho

A Northern Idaho local is facing cannibalism charges along with murder charges. David Russell, (as seen above) was arrested Sept. 10 in a small town named Clark Fork. Officers were called to the scene at Russell’s home. The body of David Flaget was found in the back of Russell’s pickup truck. In Russell’s testimony found in court documents, he exclaimed, “I can heal myself by cutting off portions of flesh! It will cure my brain.” Officers have confirmed that parts of Mr. Flaget have not yet been found.

Detective Phillip Stella of Bonner County said, “It wasn’t the bloodiest crime scene, but it’s more psychological, ‘what the heck is going on here?” He then said, “It’s a walk down a dark path that we don’t see very often.” Key phrase, “We don’t see very often” meaning how many cannibals are residing in Northern Idaho?! David Flaget’s body was found in the passenger seat of Russell’s pickup. His wrists were duct taped. Russell was labeled unfit to stand trial in a court of law. He was ordered into a Idaho Security Medical Program within the State Maximum Security Institution.
